Did I Ever Tell You This? by Sam Neill.

I made few quantity attempts from different angles to read Sam Neill's autobiographic book Did I Ever Tell You This? wrote by him suddenly. It’s appearance was caused by cancer diagnosis. I couldn’t buy the book for disrespect to Michael Crichton in playing in Jurassic Park films to which an author hasn’t relation.

Neill’s book in chaos, because it was written in circumstance that, maybe, he willn’t survive. He hops in short saying of something and moves to other subject with similar throwing of thoughts. They rarely can be interesting. Short with usage of common words and involved people is Neill’s usual in talking on flicks. He isn’t frequent on speaking on what happened in filming. I don’t want to be rude, but in view that he is alive, and I’m glad, Neill could edit or hire person for that. Many times he names an actor and simply says that he had fun to work with that person or he has friendship. Some treasures were as on Eddie Murphy who as many blacks came from poverty and turned into arrogant and selfish person after glory. A wonderful story and demonstration of James Mason. Mostly, Neill isn’t informative about people of cinema by writing only he/she is a “great actor” or other praise word. He puts list films he liked to do and women actresses with which he had satisfaction to work. His winery without details – only in that he tasted own made wine and liked it. Interesting weren’t often. What will I find in his excitement on witnessing of sex of whales? I would wish that he even mentioned a little bit about The Tudors, Memoirs of an Invisible Man and The Hunter. He wrote amusing about Escape Plan where I can’t agree with him that it’s a bad title for film, which discloses plot in his view. It doesn’t. A story is already about a man who checks security of jails by escaping from them.

I always pleasant when I see Sam Neill in cast. His current bearded appearance is appealing. I am quite not sure I would wish to meet him in person. I read on his critique to Donald Trump and I’m fine if somebody dislikes other as that’s normal with having despise or disgust. Neill has worst feeling to Trump, which is hate what is not good for person. He writes this word. A performer counts things he hates and none of which he explains. What is causing his hate to Donald Trump and Richard Nixon? Nixon… a man who ordered to put wire on Democrats – it isn’t an amoral crime (especially compare with Biden’s betrayal to Han Empire, which supposedly scream more than Watergate in a right society.) and even not evil for me. Funny, people who express hate to Trump can’t explain for what. Dispute with them will impossible. Sam Neill hates “the far right” and doesn’t include “the far left” – that becomes curious to know his indulgence to opposite extreme side and it discloses in his hate to “reversal Roe v. Wade” what is the most disappointing about actor, because from that can see his antagonism to people who against abortion and for bringing life, it shows Sam Neill as a radical left. He hates semiautomatic weapons and tells about Charlton Heston reminding on he was a head of the National Rifle Association. Neill only radical here. Objectiveness is impossible for him. Charlton Heston is enemy for him due to opposite political view. Neill calls him “dull” on look and he is embarrassed by that hair department puts Heston’s own hair on him by giving a baseless claim, which makes to see a personal trouble of Sam Neill. Hate destroys person.
