GOBLiiiNS5 – L’Invasion des Morglotons


I launched and already got familiar Goblins. I didn’t expect other than a true adventure from Pierre Gilhodes. “Did greatness of artist stay?” – that what was main.


I couldn’t be confused by checkpoint after level completion is one function for saving. A man who easily repeated playthrough of Goblins 3 in every launch in 1994, because didn’t understand menu options and played French version, ma cheri. GOBLiiiNS5 stuck me for hours on the ninth level when I used all reasonable variants in combination with objects and I was in stance when I was using every item for every place. Then I understood, I must find a little area, which I didn’t reveal before. I was sweeping cursor of mouse for detect a title – I didn’t discover any of them. I allowed humiliation for myself in looking for videos with walkthrough – I found a very little, but I was far from them. I resumed searching by repeating acts of characters not at first time until accidentally, as usually happened, I saw a written. I had such situation two times more, but they weren’t in such and long desperation. Discovery always gave a joyful stance to me. Complete genuine adventure without using hints is pleasant. I only didn’t like in GOBLiiiNS5 – L’Invasion des Morglotons that I couldn’t stop mistakenly pressed click or I wanted to cancel personage’s act with object.

There is no of Rumpelstiltskin puzzles. The riddles are logical in usual extraordinary fantasy of Pierre Gilhodes. He, as these things usually characterize his games, doesn’t trap by do something instantly and state of wrongly used item doesn’t exist as, of course, his characters can’t die.


I was charmed as all time before by Frenchman’s drawings, animation and humor was same incredible. A screenplay written by him is wonderful and twisting. A new mission of lovable trio in Oups, Asgard and Ignatius in saving of kingdom from epidemic couldn’t but be associative with event of last years while it’s inspiration was for a big one joke. Pierre Gilhodes elaborated personalities of characters and showed new traits of lead heroes to whom mine adoring became a heartfelt. Brief eroticism and escape from fairytale in hint of a woman about three soldiers are things weren’t before and they are gladly acceptable. Music of hired musicians always conveys stance of characters and places and it for listening separately.


I wish good luck to Pierre Gilhodes, because I want to see his next projecting games too and I promise that I will make a big income if he will ask about it.
