In Wish of Deliverance. Glenfiddich Perpetual Collection VAT 01.

Updated: 5 days ago

It was quite misunderstandable that trip.com didn’t approve my review on my stay in Philadelphia:

“That place looked abandoned. No soul during my four-night stay (though I heard someone few times, but it was probably a ghost). I believe, this so-called 'hotel' has no cleaner, or her corpse in one of the rooms. I was almost out of a toilet paper, bottles with shampoos were almost empty (no body wash since I've crossed my room) - I've finished one of these bottles and I was forced to use 'refre...' or whatever that female gel. A metal rod for towels is falling if hang a big towel. A desk for a tooth paste and a tooth brush is abruptly inclined - I don't think it is something from a contemporary design. I was forced to use a kitchen sink to clean my hands because a sink's tube in the bathroom leaks if I tried to do it there. No cleanness under the bed - it includes candys’ wraps, hair in the shower, the access to the toilet seat is only from the side - it has no space to occupy it from the intended position (my apologies for this part, but I should have said it), the fridge freezes your food if keep it long, a TV set doesn't offer TV channels, the A/C is dead as johnny depp's career - it is a bad idea to stay here in hot and stuffy days, as I did. I don't think I will stop in this place again.”

A critique of that hotel in Pisa that I was forced to stop after missing the plane–included the wish to that receptionist to die from a brain cancer on this week–was accepted on trip.com. I write reviews when I am forced to fight and expose the evil. Ututu Stay West, a name of that place in Philly, wasn’t a ghastly place, but I wanted to show it danger to which I add–because I forgot–when I tried to get a gel from the hand washing, it filler slipped from the installation place and I scratched one of my fingers.

Nevertheless, I incredibly happy that this significant Independence Day was celebrated, as I wished.

My flight from America was to Frankfurt, and followed to Pisa as a final stop. I had a ghastly Cabernet Sauvignon from a big plastic bottle (I’ve never seen that such horrible thing exists, but I should have surprised it) on the first plane. I didn’t save in memory the name. I expressed a disgust through opening a mouth and taking the next sip after that. Once my German neighbor on the left looked at my reaction.

I was missing my second plane. A stewardess on my question responded “I don’t speak German”. I regret that good lines come later. I was supposed to utter “Me too”, but said, “I speak English”. Well, she didn’t anything when I saw information on the next flight at 4 pm while mine was at 8:40 am.

I wasn’t in Germany for many years. I had fun with listening their accent, which quite thick if consider among non-natives, but it sounds comedian. I met a native burger whose name was Asraf or whatever was calling of that Saddam. He offered the next plane to Pisa. I demonstrated my knowledge of geography asking on availability of flight to Bologna, Genoa and Florence. There was to the last direction at 11:20 am. I went to the gates.

The beginning was waiting of the movement of American side. German custom officers, who didn’t know a geography much, which about countries’ names, required only those who with the European passport. One American from the crowd said that he is going to have it – how I love American humor, though it is not always good. It led to self-checking of a passport and staying in a slowly moving queue that made afraid I could miss my plane. However, it didn’t occur. German border crossing officers treat you as a foreign agent requiring needless documents, which I hadn’t, but I presented one weak paper on foreign language, which made me to pass. I wasn’t a bad spy after all.

The Frankfurt Airport has drastically changed since I visited it in November 2017. It is dirty everywhere. My apologies, you don’t have a wish to visit the bathroom. One of the straight escalators doesn’t work. You catch a cigarette smoke from the specialized room. Wi-Fi is slow, and it makes to forget about comfortable using. I didn’t forget to blacklist it. Fortunately, I was leaving soon.

There a lot of wonderful in American cuisine, but I missed Europeans. The cookies that I received from Hotel La Pace in Pisa were incredulous on taste after America. I took them with two croissants in receptions and one more pack of cookies waited in my room–they added a good delight. I’m critical of Italian food for simplicity, but it cooks with soul. Nevertheless, it invented pasta, pizza and adorable gnocci. Nevertheless, that hotel in which I stopped and received a teapot from a kind reception had fascist leaning in controlling the fan, which has less then street temperature and it turns off after around eight minutes – I was sweating when I slept. I was supposed to wait less hot water in the shower because a movement of the handle doesn’t change.

I felt the return in Italy was to a country that I lived for long. I arrived in Tuscany, but nobody waited me. I can have things that many people can’t afford and, maybe, dream about whereas I can’t have things that regular people usually have. I chose the first path long time ago, but I wanted something from the second – this looks I can’t have it. I am not an angel, but I can them understand about dreaming of grounded love.

At the last day of my stay in Italy, I turned on Time to Say Goodbye. A piece of it played in a first train later. I had no reason to visit this country anymore. However, it always was love and hate.

I acquired a ticket in a business class. The finale should be beautiful. Besides, it was interesting to see and likely disappoint what you get for 51 euros in that 38-minute ride. Internet activated only through a cell phone, which put me away from having that, but I could deal and get it. It works slow – better than no Internal in a regular train, but that is no progress. A website that loads fast – did it long. I read a sticker “New Fast” about their Wi-Fi when I was crossing wagons of this shaking train, which could make me to believe that I was on a ship in a stormy period - it felt even in seating. Hard loading sites appear, but, logically, it need a much longer time. The advantages of this train that you have armrests for both elbows. A socket works in comparison with the first train that I had from Pisa to Florence. A seat is regular on touch – therefore, it doesn’t cost the price. Not enough space between the seat parallel to you, but that was a woeful feature of Italian trains. I only recalled regular American trains that much advanced in comfort – wide spaces and seats. I sat in my Italian train having a backpack in the middle of the table. I pushed it with my feet, but, probably, the woman, who owned it, when she came – she probably moved it. Anyway, there was a lot of space in a place for luggage. Exactly, you don’t get good mannered people who chose the same class as you: moaning women, some American put his baggage with his wheels that collected dirt on the seats in relocating it, a leg touching, a feet on a table or it lied in a passageway are all have seen in wagons. Few times was noisy for the train that considers as “silenzio”. Another factor, you can’t choose your place. A trivial food service from a carriage – more choice in a cafe. Everybody can be a nobility today; any rabble. A smiling and nice ticket checker who believed that I’m Italian when I was saying “hello” and “thank you” on their language with being in vivacious mood and food sellers call you “sir” because should are speaking about personnel.

Bologna is another wonderful Italian city, which has an own individuality. Its enchantment in welcoming majesty of porticoes and the same it have the buildings. Two towers seemed miniature in seeing them with own eyes. Their leaning to different sides are creating an exciting composition. I would like to come inside. A fact that I didn’t visit the towers due to reconstruction (though I read on the official website about availability of a small one but it was closed as well) doesn’t frustrate me. I realized before leaving and it corroborated in going to the airport that I used a wrong way in a first trip to Bologna when I wanted to see them back then.

Afterward, I saw strange ideas in a square’s fountain, which could be a beautiful art while water that poured from mermaids’ nipples wasn’t elegant.

I saw a famous church to which porticoes head from the monorail on the way to the airport, and it wasn’t specific in design.

Bologna’s airport recognized my laptop. It works fast (there was once a trouble when I couldn’t visit any site). The place was clean everywhere. Natural balance, as I told. However, Duty Free had no a choice in wines. Uninspiring raw of Italian ones was the all presentation.

My supper was Lindt Dubai-style candy (which was delicious well and had a taste of the East because I wanted but I never pay to anything from Emirates), a bottle of S. Pellegrino and 50 grams of Glenfiddich Perpetual Collection VAT 01. I asked the salesman not to put whisky in a bag but he packed my medicine.

I wasn’t attentive to the drink. Later I noticed the forgotten – it was from William Grant & Sons (though in it was in hostages). I recalled that I rejected it because that and I didn’t want it previously due to it is an experimental collection – of things that I avoid, but you never think about that when you want to drink. Rich smell that turns into alcohol. Bitter taste and somewhere pepper. No character in rinsing, but burns with its pepper and dries. Bitterness stays in the aftertaste. Eventually, cheapness stays in your mouth.
