Intention to watch all episodes of Miami Vice ceased on the third one and it wasn’t due of I don’t like Miami. I absolutely can’t understand that anybody like this city. I quitted, because I didn’t understand genius in scriptwriting. Only Jan Hammer with Crockett’s Theme was a touchable, which was before watching and I’m listening it now. San Francisco, which is only credible city in California, was pleasure backstage in Nash Bridges. A pilot contains relaxing kind of story where seriousness stay away in full. It was for entertainment. Elia Cmiral did music the first season is an artist of sound. I rewatch extraordinary fine made intro where Cmiral’s theme combines bongos, saxophone and solo voice. A moment when Nash leaves a car, walk on the street and it plays was supernatural in acceptance for me. He is one of composers whom I would hire for my computer game. Pilot pace degraded in next episodes with absurd situation, odd phenomenon of farce comedy and I checked that it was with quality of soundtrack of future seasons made by job contract as it was with intro credits. I didn’t stay more two episodes of Nash Bridges in about full watched.


I kept to platinum confidence that revival willn’t different to original series. Nash Bridges (2021) does that nostalgia to bad. I felt that this unchangeable show was staying in air in all these twenty years of hiatus. It’s doubled in time one episode, which goes in shapeless pace. Killing by shoe’s heel was worst of exploitation movies. It, as any presence of computer graphics, returns to flicks made fifteen years ago. Screen fades and plays tension music in sudden uninteresting twists did in accordance to soup operas. Whistling fakeness of sounds of beatings fists between Nash Bridges and that flood guy who plays his boss. I couldn’t accept it and by anybody else in having of fighting background. I believe in learnt choreography movements. Moreover of that, I suspect Don Johnson held an axe at first time. Acting in order with performers as Don Johnson, Cheech Marin, Jeff Perry while nevermatured generation doesn’t live their characters. I don’t believe that she is a captain.


Impossible and obvious plot of B movie category where action haven’t comparisons with reality. Odd farce is here too and, as in old times (which were almost two years ago.) I still didn’t even smile. Another thing, I, as it desires any mental-right person (but I know it willn’t) – merciless death of millennial personage who represents everything of that disgust.

And the language details. A main villain person pronounces Russian phrases with accent, but without mistake. However! A vessel “Йеремлах Оврйен” (Yeremlah Ovryen), which I suppose origins from “Jeremiah O’Brian”, is set of letters. It wasn’t so problematic to find a language specialist in Cold War. In few snaps it can do in present days and more especially modern technologies allow to do it without leaving office. That’s because nobody cares on quality.


Greg Beeman, who made multiple episodes of Nash Bridges and he also known as a director on whom I dropped watching that show, is solid TV series director. His skills went down with quality of this long episode. Untidy combination of shots in which so obvious when switching on another camera shows different expression of faces of actors or “who were these people?” I think post-production was made without look on monitor. Beeman incapable or inexperienced to stage a sword fight. Both personages does sudden relocation of positions and that girl could kill that big guy few times before. That staging lost care to personage what it was initially.
