Political correctness, fabulous miscasting and three hours must be again without necessity. A writer-director Matt Reeves was one of authors of screenplay of Under Siege 2 what wasn’t turning it to hope (also from a man who staged wretched Cloverfield.). Partly, it was due to passion to Batman. Basically, it was checking for comparison about will it worst of Nolan and I wanted to make a needless look on modern hundreds million cinema, which I will see expected "didn’t change".
Place of Ave Maria in introduction was riddle for me. Matt Reeves did misunderstanding and pointless in directing. Only likeable that he wanted to return to Batman as detective what originally was. However, he did Nolan thing by destroying initial of the Caped Crusader, which is comics. He repeats Nolan’s mistake about Gotham doesn’t need in Batman, but it represented now in non-white people who absolutely all are positive characters while white man is evil. Matt Reeves is a good communist. Batman beats white guys for saving Asian. I don’t know about whole movie, but I presume that “no non-white people were harmed”. Killed mayor, who didn’t care on own security in such criminal town, and person died by bomb explosion were white men. Reeves could give neo-noir ambience and his Gotham mostly reminds an individual town. Chicago was seen in few times. Music of Michael Giacchino does matching to this atmosphere. Voiceover monologues of a main character are acceptable for listening instead of Nolan’s pseudo-philosophy. Nevertheless, director isn’t masterful for constant presence when dialogs are installed source of boredom in characterless screenplay. Believable personage of Andy Serkis can’t get it gone. Fighting occur without confidence in credibility. Their unnoticing save boredom pace.
This mood everywhere and corroborates by pure zero performances. Robert Pattinson should play poker with constant passivity to everything. His appearance and eye shadows in black color do obvious that he shouldn’t get this role. Catwoman in this film is black lesbian what more funny fact like is that having this role Zoe Kravitz with appearance and short growth looks on fifteen years old. I was surprised in learning her actual age. She can’t be believable for femme fatale. Absence of mask and reveal of face in the first meeting with Batman ruins her mystery although their relationship initially was without chemistry. Andy Serkis in Alfred’s role can be confident only in bank’s president or head of enterprise.
I did clicks until scene where Batman stays close to aforementioned man with the bomb, which will activate. Protagonist survives and doesn’t get any reminding what he had. Almost thirty years ago, similar scene has Last Action Hero, which is a parody on action films.
Few hours before, I began watching TV series of Batman with Adam West and Burt Ward. It has eccentric atmosphere, but it charms and this approach doesn’t make misinterpretation to comics. It’s a true Batman. I was in constant smiling as to see in one episode dancing Batman and his preference to orange juice, which, moreover, contained hidden alcohol what will bring him to drunk state. I return to this show.
