The Another New World. Maker’s Mark.

Burks’ Distillery-that locates in Loretto, Kentucky-is the oldest bourbon distillery was opened in 1805. It manufactured their aqua vitae until it was killed by Prohibition in 1919. That led the owning family to sell their land. After the alcohol ban was cancelled, there were efforts to revive production, but it was made when on October 1, 1953 Bill Samuels Sr. purchased the distillery for 35,000 dollars (432,900 dollars in current money). He decided to launch his own whiskey. It was Maker’s Mark, which hallmark became that a top dives into a red wax making every bottle unique–the idea was invented by the owner’s wife, Margie. I wouldn’t pay for that drink because the enterprise became under Jim Beam and later its parent conglomerate Suntory, but I wanted to taste it. Luckily, the delivery service gave it to me.

I scratched my nose that led to its bleeding in that moment when I was at Independence Hall. To my gladness, there were rare plantains on the grass, and I knew, they could stop that massacre on my face. They heeled me instantly.

There were two things that were killing me in America at that period: heat and food. Eventually, I reconsidered about desire to taste some of my fellow country's cuisines by rejecting them, even out of curiosity. I envisioned having these couple of them as part of a potential grand tour.

It was soul food. Too ordinary and relates to canteens. It doesn’t invent with a variety of ingredients. Certainly, the cuisine comes out from the poverty of Black people in America. That fried chicken (also known as southern chicken) are making me to refuse to taste it due to the unhealthiness of deep frying and it is associative with a flagship dish from Kentucky Fried Chicken. Pasta with melted cheese (macaroni and cheese or macaroni pie were names before that) is so fast food in this mixing. One of the places I planned to be had a horrific combination in corn with green pepper. However, southern chicken is still my desire if it is cooked correct, and I have a venue in America that I want to visit and taste.

The other rejection is Tex-Mex, which can be characterized as fast food in Mexican style (though cuisine from that country is already belongs to this definition). If fried chicken defines KFC, fajita does that for Tex-Mex-which put in every their dish. This cuisine has too much simplicity and liquid mess on the plates.

I had variable aqua vitae, which once I chose wrong. Auchentoshan American Oak was the assumed drink that I should have ordered in that venue instead Aged 12 Years, but after reading components they revealed it is unlikely I would love to have this binge.

Not anymore drinking Paddy, which I gave it away. It wasn’t checked by me that ice dissipates “ammonia”. I stopped dropping frozen pieces of water into aqua vitae because I want to have drink clear, and if you’re forced to come to this solution it already explains about the down quality of the beverage.

Red, Black, Green, and Gold Labels of Johnnie Walker are aged. Double Black is a blend of different ages, but it has an honest cost. A blue-toned bottle and an elegant box in which I had a small Johnnie Walker Blue Label takes a good part of the price for this non-noble whisky. The committed analysis suggests one-third. Still, it is overpriced.

I assumed to end this magnificent drinking season on Bastille Day, but two days later I had a bottle of Four Roses to make clear and remind myself of the true experience of this amazing whiskey. The smell of medicine catches as well. Burning in drinking is possible as the same about getting sweetness where can be included caramel. The floating and hovering aftertaste, which relaxes.

You should be old American enough to understand my talking. And these men and women give the good old USA.

I watched in America at these humans working in corporations. Finish college, where you listen things for several years that you don't need in reality-because these professors haven't seen it-to get a work you have five days and end the working week by going to bar with job friends and doing nothing on the weekend. I couldn't be there. Or the same with emigrants who get these identical things, which some of them could have without any difference in their motherlands. Is it the life? No way.

Having a great aqua vitae is one of the aspects of life. I sought it in Maker's Mark. Some regions in the United States of America call their beverages “whisky”, and that is one of them. Yesterday, I had it.

Dark brown color showed that it wasn't scantily made. This 45% beverage likes to claim “handmade” (I assume it is about dipping in wax) and uses the year 1953 whereas production started in 1954, and the first bottling was in 1958. The whisky’s age is around six years.

The sound of the clap was after unscrewing the cap. The bubbling knock when pouring into a glass. I put my nose and got a deep saturation with a note of apple, followed by a feeling of flowers from the field. But the drinking revealed a weak structure of components. In that first sip, I had a light pinching, and the stage wasn't special itself . Acid with the taste of caramel in a fast swallowing. There were repercussions of colorant, but they weren’t almost later. The finish was from a light breathe out to a middle heaviness, which still was after the first sip.

It was from a great hope to revealing of weakness characteristics. That was in further drinking of that glass. I poured a little bit further then – these qualities saved. Aftertaste wasn’t friendly to your tongue. It was eating something unlikable.

Later the scent loses its character becoming alcohol and that I’ve received in drinking. Besides, the whisky loses these qualities in the closed bottle. At these stages, the getting the acidity is in long and short perspectives. The aftertaste becomes neutral and painful.

A lower-class man with a heart of commoner that presents himself from a noble family. A great reminding that I wouldn't experience all these stages if I took it in a bar. Maker's Mark isn’t cheap, but commits falling to there. The issue is that the creator didn’t understand aqua vitae, and that same as about live. Its cost in 40 dollars for one liter puts into a mistaken price range. No more than twenty-five dollars for this.

I cured myself with Four Roses. It was a smell of nectar that was taken from the Olympus. The true flower field when I sniffed and had it then. It seemed harsher than Maker’s Mark, which is strong as well, but this might was extreme lovable. I had a bliss aftertaste.

Summer Wine by Demis Roussos and Nancy Boyd was listened after getting the great whiskey.
