I always do thorough checking in everything as that with book by learning about it’s author foremost. That’s absolutely important about non-fiction. If I see it is no good and it’s pure lie – I don’t buy it. I don’t make free downloading for get confidence as also as I have no research interest for do that on today. Certainly, a writer can have biography, which doesn’t expose him and his book hasn’t signs of disinformation. However, there were few times when I acquired book, which I revealed is disinformation. These are the books.
The Untold History of the United States by Oliver Stone and Peter Kuznick
It’s already twenty years a world-famous director Oliver Stone tells lies. He demonstrated Latin American dictators Fidel Castro and Hugo Chavez as wonderful rulers and innocent people in films “Comandante” and “Mi Amigo Hugo” as well as that acclaimed devotion was to all left-wing Latin leaders in “South of the Border”. He did similar in four-episode with appointed dictator of Muscovy Vladimir Putin in “The Putin Interviews”. He personally expresses pro-Muscovy propagandist position on Ukraine and produced a couple of documentaries “Ukraine of Fire” and “Revealing Ukraine” in which moviemaker took interviews. The second is already naked propaganda if look on people who gave interviews, they represent only pro-KGB side. The most grandiose Stone’s project was “The Untold History of the United States”. I watched eight of twelve at all episodes and I couldn’t more by knowing who is that man and I’ve got everything for research purposes. I made jumping on his last two episodes in which he demonstrated Vladimir Ul’yanov as a mr. nice guy by don’t mentioning his crimes as he usually did with talking on everything. He admits Jugashvili’s mass killings, but he doesn’t portraying him as big evil whereas he gives neutral sympathy with story on Uncle Joe. Before that I read an eponymous book till the last page by knowing only his political position whereas I wasn’t aware then and I didn’t come to instant understanding that his written is disinformation. It will later. I once wrote a common analysis on the book and documentary series, which I will not repeat. Since that I knew interesting fact from splendid documentary “Disinformation: The Secret Strategy to Destroy West” (2013) after it will be released book “Disinformation” two years later. Historian Ronald Radosh saw that “The Untold History of the United States” has similarity with “We Can Be Friends: Origins of the Cold War” (1952) written by Carl Marzani on whom is known now was a KGB agent. Radosh said, “Over and over, Stone uses the same quotations, the same arrangements of material, and the same arguments as Marzani. This is not to accuse Stone of plagiarism, only to point out that the case he now offers as new was argued in exactly the same terms by an American Communist and Soviet agent in 1952.” Oliver Stone for arguments used quotes people such I.F. Stone who had contacts with Kremlin too. Moviemaker still blames the West as put their guilt for Muscovy’s invasion of Ukraine, because they provoked it – I can’t find logic in how it was made especially Ukrainian people wanted to the West. It’s impossible to argue with that person. Oliver Stone’s position reminds me Muscovy people who support their sick regime even after all arguments against put on a table, but they still imagine an excuse in which they likely believe.
A People’s History of the United States by Howard Zinn
I was reckless by buying book from open communist what I’ve learnt after quitting by reading few pages. Zinn rejected that he was member of party, but FBI found out vice versa. I began to read and I already got antagonistic tone and absolutely negative portrait of Christopher Columbus who wasn’t savvy man in presentation of Howard Zinn.
Legacy of Ashes by Tim Weiner
Book’s author learnt ten thousands documents and made interviews with ten directors of intelligence, but Tim Weiner presented CIA as incompetent organization, which, as he directly lies, everything achieved only by blackmailing and bribery. All happened agency’s victories were lucky circumstances in Weiner’s describing. 1948 Italian general election, which was a significant fight in Cold War. Communists could come to power. Weiner writes that it didn’t happen by that CIA bribed everybody. He doesn’t go into details about that what is savvy in writing disinformation. Weiner doesn’t write what was in reality in that US government conducted operation at home on urging American-Italian citizens write letters to relatives in Italy on not to vote for communists when CIA conducted covert operations, which were support of anticommunist organizations through which backed campaigns of allied candidates in which released materials informed on danger of communism. The Soviet Muscovy actively financed own candidates – journalist Tim Weiner also doesn’t mention this fact and no indication from him on involvement of Catholic Church with anticommunist Pope Pius XII, who was very concerned too. Pope made performance while Catholics made anticommunist materials. Weiner humiliates CIA by writing evacuation from Saigon was only successful agency’s operation. Reading of Legacy of Ashes was in sometimes. I reached to commie’s invasion in Afghanistan where Tim Weiner describes that CIA had contact, which presented in significant events and he was fooling agency for years by saying fantasized information, because, actually, he knew nothing, and did for getting money from CIA. I forgot about book. I recalled book later when I knew more. Through that understanding I will take Legacy of Ashes only for recycling as well as I have no intention with reading Enemies: A History of FBI by same left-wing journalist Tim Weiner whose place of work include the most rotten and disinforming newspapers The Washington Post and The New York Times.
