The Vanished

A main twist of this film will astonish. Everything before will lost a logic. It answers why dog didn’t bark, but not to evidence, which brought to answer, and to syndrome created a chain of deaths.

Jason Patric did well his mumbling sheriff (if analyze to every detail – his acting failure was in a scene of putting panda on place, but it also director’s blame who should have reshooted.). That’s law enforcer was horrendous on his job if he didn’t saw twin towers at first and have spent five days on investigation. Maybe that was due of devotion to drinking.

Thomas Jane sometimes loses with nature of his personage, but performance of him and most of actors are well done. There weren’t confident Alex Haydon and twin sisters Heim, who played one character, but need blame irresponsible director for the last two, because they’re kids.

Peter Facinelli is director of this flick (and he wrote screenplay and was one of cops.). Sometimes I liked his way of telling. There were defections: sloppy editing as in a scene with swings where Anne Heche’s hands were changing place and were much of idle methods in creation of suspense, which I was accepting as comedy later as well as screenplay in overall to that time.

The movie has vanishing effect after watching. What was that?
