Mafia States of America
Updated: Oct 20, 2025
A mafia mobster Joseph Valachi who was death sentenced by Genovese family went on cooperation with US government in 1963. He became a first person disclosed a structure of mafia. Murdered family members was dissolution to overall crime organization for Tommaso Buscetta and he violated omerta in 1984. In present days many non-active members of different crime organizations do interviews, review credibility of films on them what gave them names for create personal accounts in social networks as one year ago did two meaningful mafia figures Michael Franzese and Sammy Gravano. Meeting of representers of two different crime families where, moreover, one was capo and another was underboss (and both could be bosses.), which was taken on camera, was an anticipating event.
Valuetainment is a right-wing radio show, which despite on tenderness to my politician views, but listening them, as any heard podcast (Joe Rogan for example.), - it was equal to conversations of women in salons with men instead. Patrick Bet-David asked interesting questions in ten-hour interview made in two days. It was sometimes. Overall, he wasn’t well for executing. I had a thought that it would be better without him. A pointless idea and comparison of Bush, Kennedy, Trump families on make his kids as presidents with same as in mafia. And he puts in same row of becoming a member of Mafia and a president of the United States of America. Weird question about famous people who could be in Cosa Nostra and calling of people who absolutely alien to that. More talented needed for implementation of meeting.
Gerald Michaels, who is one of hosts of radio show, isn’t experienced in directing. It was rarely when had attractive decisions while he was strict in splitting of screens made to look that as extremely extended episode of Valuetainment. Michaels was doing egregious mistakes in swapping of cameras, which changed a light in a room. Lack of skills characterizes in presenting of introduction with hadn’t reason to use a CGI. Few times was repeating of meaning of some word. And a modern song wasn’t of my taste.
Misfire was in Chazz Palminteri who was similar to commentators of sport events – wish that he finish talking and doesn’t bother, because I’m watching. I wanted to skip Palminteri’s texts and didn’t want to see his failures in acting as a narrator.
Series was self-exposing in cuts. It’s a fact that Gravano had involvement in editing. He something says and suddenly his hand in other place. But that meeting had discoveries and disclosed personalities, which mostly were known for me.
Both of them confirm of omerta violating, but Sammy contradicts and tries to present a same thing in different ways. He accuses Franzese in cooperation (“ratting” as he says.) without evidences that Michael’s testimony put people in jail without calling names and having proof. Gravano doesn’t call himself “a rat” in testimony against John Gotti Jr. and multiple other mobsters to what he was forced. A lot of his crime activity was wired and would imprison him without chances to leave it. Witness protection program gave a better chance. I have disgust to these people who can free walking due to incarceration of other criminals. I don’t like to see them in entertainment TV programs as Valuetainment had fun with a man who participated in nineteen kills in officially confirmation. Gravano called it as achievement in heated conversation with Michael in their meeting after Mafia States of America. It was in series where he easily self-exploded his gangster by threatening to Michael, because he finished in proofs. I know this behavior. They specially want to humiliate and make you feel guilty. Petty kind of people. Gravano on Tommaso Buscetta says that in his case should to “kill them back” and don’t cooperate with government. A question about his situation is automatically occurs. I don’t know did he said an actual position on defund of police, but Sammy can say everything. He definitely would stay in mafia if not the case. Gravano excuses in calling of people on whom he didn’t testify with having dozens whom he sent to a jail. He protects an incarcerated consiglieri Frank LoCascio by claiming that rapists spent less time. Sammy, who was caught in drug trafficking, stays behind of a man who promoted and cooperated with him. Gravano protects mafia subconsciously. The most evil people usually don’t consider that they are evil people. Sammy says that doesn’t want to kill and threatens to Rudy Giuliani. I couldn’t listen Gravano whom was overdone in series.
I surprised that Michael was of same view on Buscetta what was due to he didn’t want to be in a jail. Franzese does arguments against blind attacks of opponent and moreover he discloses Gravano better than Bet-David does. I had disagree to Michael in accusing of his father in family ruining by thinking that his crime life made his adult son John was drug addicted and daughter’s overdose brought to death. It was when Sonny Franzese most time was imprisoned. I suppose that Michael was killing people in what he doesn’t confess, because, as he said, that he isn’t protected from persecutions and he can’t lie due to his Christian religion to which he came in solitary confinement. Michael puts aside of mafia what is still with him. He shows it in reasoning on who must be in mafia and qualifies a person for that.
Conversations involved of conspirology. Both, as in most things, agreed that J. Edgar Hoover was blackmailed by mafia on knowledge that he is a homosexual. Gravano’s argument that FBI’s director rejected existence of organized crime after Valachi’s hearing when it’s known that Hoover confirmed mafia after Apalachin meeting in 1957. He wasn’t against of investigations in FBI. Historians don’t believe in blackmailing. Franzese on own channel in social network promised to tell on Kennedy’s assassination what was in few words in series. Maybe his words were cut, but I heard his version. He pronounces (Sammy also agrees.) that Joe Kennedy was a bootlegger. All historians found out that it’s not true. Michael’s position that mafia assassinated Kennedy ruins in facts, which he knows. One of them mentions in this series that American Mafia evaded to kill law representers what would be worst for their organizations. That’s right that Jack Ruby had connections with mafia as also known that government of the United States used mafia for own purposes as they asked a main mafioso Lucky Luciano to check ports on Nazi spies.
Also I had a daze in a thing that Michael and Gravano don’t know about selling of paintings on the black market.
Rudy Giuliani, whose side I support, was a biggest source of interesting. I wanted to listen only him. I’ve learned a lot of spectacular on him and America. I shared views with him as that must be legalized gambling, prostitution, alcohol when, as ex-mayor said, drugs ruin people’s lifes. I didn’t keep to his opinion on that few people are genetically and inherently bad. He thinks that the most people did crime because it was shaped by circumstances. He never saw so many abominate people as I did. And I’m about a national level.
Eventually, I lost respect to Michael by expression of sympathy to Gravano and handshake with him. Michael, you always say that against drugs. Nevertheless, that’s brotherhood in the end becomes funny after a next interview on Valuetainment where accusing Sammy initiated an amiable screaming on each other.
