Two reviews derail. The Infernal Machine – 1 hour. The Enforcer (2022) – 65 minutes.

The Infernal Machine

A playing lead starring role Guy Pearce does well-nice acting and hits into mud by that sometimes in his speaking has repercussion of English accent. I would accept it if each time when actor’s personage makes this sound his one hand holds a handle of small cup of tea and a little finger brought forward as etiquette asks it.

The Infernal Machine is alternative story on writer who wrote only book, which influenced on seventeen year old boy on killing spree from a clock tower of university in Knoxville. It impossible to not reject a using of real incident with Charles Whitman who did mass shooting from a clock tower of University of Texas at Austin in 1966, but he committed it due to brain disorder. I hardly give a doubt that writer-director Andrew Hunt doesn’t know that The Catcher in the Rye was among books, which John Hinckley Jr. who attacked president Ronald Reagan kept and no more whereas Mark David Chapman’s perceiving of that fact turned to that he wanted to convince he is a lunatic too and get asylum instead jail by sitting with this book under lantern after murder as well as Sallinger’s composition had an ostensible Kennedy’s assassin Lee Harvey Oswald. Movie’s author knows on Helter Skelter as this reference has one conversation. Hunt could high up imagination by changing places and things at least and doesn’t make so close reproduction of actual. Although his story never tells beyond of ordinary. Adding of surrealistic nonsense and no movement to explaining. He can’t invent better than getting on new tie in searching of stalking person will by a fantastic coincidence.

Realism in impossibility. It feels, five minutes couldn’t pass after announcing in jail scene where for imprisoned wacky shooter couldn’t find a good actor. As well as Alice Eve didn’t improve her hopeless acting since I saw her once, it was Misconduct. She doesn’t get into policeman. Her behavior in the first meeting was closing to New York cabbie in films, because they are deadly dead dreary people in reality. OK, it was only one time I had experience with New York taxi.

Occasionally Hunt as a director devoted to making a beauty look and never put logic in attention in it. I didn’t see point in doing shot with a scorpion and later it’s dead body, which flies surrounded. Director never be unusual in thrilling. I always understood that no danger will come.

I willn’t slate on discrepancies in things from slightly different periods due to that alternative reality can use for indication when I can’t believe that set takes in America, which filmed in Portugal.

The Enforcer (2022)

Each film’s appeared line was understandable in how it will end. I knew before watching, a usual screenplay. I was looking for a shooting entertainment and Antonio Banderas has a thumb up haircut and beard.

Uniformity was as it began. A philosophical monologue of wounded and limping protagonist from conclusion scene. His story has a thing, which almost every nowadays film, and it’s an estranged or separated relative who in despising wife (or ex-wife) and daughter, which original in that she doesn’t like taco. W. Peter Iliff was one of two scriptwriters of astonishing drama and action Point Break and he also of two men created adaptation of Patriot Games, a thrilling movie. Today, Iliff hates Donald Trump and wrote a script hasn’t development in lines and personages. Many times I can’t believe in happening. Screenplay’s acts puts reality on backside and everything on accident. Deuteragonist comes in crowded bar and instantly meets a girl with whom will love and she has a significant personal part in sharing bed with a main villain played imposing in clothes Kate Bosworth. Iliff still remembers basic scriptwriting lessons. As well on presence of minor comedian character, which is a dimly swearing short man.

Nobody had in intention to think that a lightweight person can’t take out from a trunk and drag to place of execution a bulky man who isn’t tied and can fight. A movie is chained in negligence. Deuteragonist was taken in strangling grip against it he uses technique, which wouldn’t release him and his opponent is physically stronger him.

Casting in misfires. Natalie Burn doesn’t rid from Russian accent in playing personage with name Olivia and detected in trailer that a twenty-four year old actress has a character who is “barely fifteen years old” and lies on “eighteen years” whereas she looks on twenties. Banderas’s protagonist will find sympathy in the last person, who, moreover, will praise taco.

Personages are speaking from what part of America they are whereas action happens in Greece, which I can’t accept for mentioning Miami.

Quality of The Enforcer at overall is identical for produced Millennium Media to many movies they did for VHS and DVD where also used to be a fiasco on state for place of action, but today it makes with a big budget. However, mostly it’s flick is a pointless drama. A serious action is coming after hour and happens in few minutes, but no one fight and no shot was penetrating. It was always lifeless.

So, what both films taught us? Never make any attempt to be a Britishman if you can’t always save an accent, love taco and love Trump, because hate to him will turn you to writing of such head-on-wall screenplays.
