At yesterday’s came evening, I recalled on Thanksgiving Day. Maybe it was by hearing in native the English words “Black Friday” in metro of Paris and everywhere else after that in my European trip. I haven’t common with this day by having French “get everything”. I apologize that I willn’t humble in these next sentences. I told on buying of Royal Salute 38 Year Old what was in Christmas time. How did I feel in giving such money for bottles? Nothing. And I never regretted on things which didn’t like to me in revealing. Of course, I still not a richman, but tell me where this thing, how much and I’ll pay for it. I don’t jump into buying aspiration if I see discounts (even on that I don’t want.). Black Friday switched in mind mistakenly that is one day before of Thanksgiving (it’s after actually.). Now I have better days and became a little bit lucky. Maybe, I didn’t stay longer in Europe, but I was in mood to celebrate wonderful Thanksgiving with returned wish of cooking. It’s entrance of time of Christmas. Time of magic. And my story how I went for turkey in late winter evening night was of that kind.
I looked on weather in France and Italy, which aren’t snowy and can’t accept it, because such weather is part of this period. I never had sympathy to California for ever of summer. I had natural weather in which I moved for getting turkey. A first shop offered one steaks, which I didn’t want to take. I wished some part of thigh with leg. I visited next shops, which had only duck, never had a turkey and all turkey was sold. There wasn’t any kind of turkey in most places. One was selling shin and fillet, but I didn’t trust to quality and to appearance without skin. I started to accept that better to buy it tomorrow what was not wishful for me. I moved back to house and stopped in one store, which was common in food products. I entered and saw became empty shelves. However, I knew on steaks of shin in a fridge. I decided to look and I saw it’s fits for my dish. I picked it up and only festivity drink required, which I suddenly saw in that store in King Robert II, a cheap bastard, whom I wanted to taste for big long.
Firstly, I decided to not look for receipt, because it will to searching of seasonings. I had everything for my invented sauce whose details I willn’t disclose even you’ll marry on me. I left turkey steak for night defrosting.
After a classic French omelette breakfast I went into preparing dish. The cats something asked from me in these moments, but I didn’t understand them. I prepared and put it inside of a fridge until early supper.
In doing exercises before getting drunk, I checked the fridge by seeing assumed in that defrosting wasn’t complete when I started to prepare in a morning. Water combined with sauce. It could deprave a taste. I decided to pour one ingredient anew. Was it right or not, but everything will turn to perfect.
I had oven and grill in between thinking. I chose the first thing where was a question on my sauce, which I used only for cooking on a pan. I could reveal only by cooking whereas I assumed that it should be work.
Ten minutes for each side and two times for five minutes. I cooked it under one hundred eighty degrees. Before that I unscrewed King Robert II (I know, it sounds cringe.), a blended whisky with standard forty degrees, was open before dish was served on a table. I thanked myself, because nobody else loves me except multiple dogs and cats. A first sip was getting that whisky was overpoured in water. Smell was saturated even though alcohol kicked in nose, which didn’t excel and it kept in balance with everything. King Robert II doesn’t burn and doesn’t pinch (I know, it sounds pervasive eccentric.). It wants to give hard, but you doesn’t get. Nice light whisky in using will in similar aftertaste. A candy, which you bought in childhood, is taste I got in drinking. I carefully assumed on presence of vanilla and I was right by reading containment as well as sweet taste was in toffee. I critical on such invasions whereas these things were correctly and balanced used.
I ate a piece of turkey, which was ready for using. It was tender meat. I thought that I must buy a bottle of red wine, but I saw that whisky was a matching drink for dish. I also cooked spinach pasta and I had salad with dark radish what fulfilled to searching perfect in celebrating Thanksgiving. Ah, how I want a toffee!
