I received a bunch of materials from Pierre Gilhodes directly after financing Gobliins6 development. It includes three comic books and there I discovered other one graphic work, which is The Prince Bouffon, through a link in his self-written autobiography. All files disclosed wide on a talented artist and a game storyteller whereas the comics also made to see who he was before.
Hallucinoide
It was created in 1982 when an author was either seventeen or very likely eighteen years old. I had reasonable prejudice to plot due to young age of the artist. But alongside with that, I didn’t reject possibility of genius of writing. Characteristically for such age opening business as Free Dope Productions and putting cannabis leaf as image was logo under which Gilgodes made his early works. I was correct on presence of simple in dialogs and inexperience with things in his first made Hallucinoide. But a first is occasional while a second makes profit for a plot in which I was grabbed by incredible origin of how villain came to installation of drug empire and to what mesmerizing conclusion he came. It’s comic has easygoing storyline and the most incredible is top-notch mastery in drawing of Pierre Gilhodes.
Incantations Junkies
The next comics of future game designer became cruel and merciless in plots and where hardly to see a positive personage. Incantations Junkies was created in 1983. Gilhodes astonishes in drawing talent by that he can bring horror by his pictures. I sensed everything hellish which he drew. The artist takes same topics in drugs and demons for his this story. A lunatic good beginning (which reminds on all right for his age.) does a great development of plot while ends up as an unexplainable nonsense. I did no understand motive of demon in doing such act (which wouldn’t create story.) and an angel came for soul which he considers as clear though Heaven accepts as all right on what that man did in beginning. There are a lot of illogical comes in final.
The Prince Bouffon
This story is attracting as precursor of Gobliins 2: The Prince Buffoon which a grandiose artist made in same 1983. You catch similarities in episodes and see traits of protagonists of future game. But The Prince Bouffon is a dark reality which will never slip in process of reading and watching. That could turn out as wonderful and I find sadly it is not because there was a tremendous potential. A lot of unconnected and the author loses in places by accenting on cruelty which does depriving of logical. A wife and a child of one character were taken away by two soldiers though all these heroes had chances to not let happen that. This personage grieves on bereavement but he doesn’t care when one hero finishes eating of his boy in front of him. Nonsense will when the character filled of revenge accepts a strange competition with one of that soldiers which finishes in same absurd. Also two lead heroes could be caught before if their act was noticed in a castle. I would wish that script deprive of underdevelopment because it has an interesting interrelationship of one personage with kidnapped prince in which first conversation is magnificent. The master brings merciless cruelty and cynicism and that constant made me to guess with conclusion but a writer gave other surprises on which I didn’t think. Gilhodes’ has a talent of a great storyteller and makes to feel personages. A sometime evincing flaw in screenplays of early Gilhodes in not elaborated force turning to further occurring action acts.
BOUZOUK MegaDreamPark
Pierre Gilhodes was making this comic for one and half year by finishing it in 2017. A set takes, as can assume, after events of Woodruff and the Schnibble of Azimuth. The artist shows his incredible fantasy and his creative brings to madness again. There are lovable moments as describing of production of cheese, a line of a bird and beings which present in surrounding on images. However, a storyline isn’t reasonable sometimes. A director of park wants to cover what occurs with clients but he invites a relative of one of victim and later he expresses discontent on his second visit. Too many accident twists as a main personage gets accidental meeting with his goal which just comes in his place and he situated in a right fish. I wasn’t pleasant to plot after I completed with reading on a comic which planned to be in two chapter but the next still wasn’t realized due to no one publisher interested to release and Gilhodes doesn’t want to implement by himself and he aimed to find a person who can copy his style. However, I would look on continuity even despite I am not craving it. But for passed several minutes of analyzing of story… I forgave flaws. I desire to know what a part two about is.
