Review derails. In the Land of Saints and Sinners – 36 minutes.

I don’t have wide choice. Either drink or watch usual movie, which In the Land of Saints and Sinners promisingly was. I did both. I finished yesterday’s bottle of wine and had two glasses of moonshine from Ivan Ivanovich after which I accidentally found this flick and decided to watch for own pride that I was right.

Maybe, In the Land of Saints and Sinners had in inspiration of old films as A Prayer for the Dying came on mind where Liam Neeson had role. Difference in that In the Land of Saints and Sinners so universal simple though tries to be not. IRA terrorists on a way to explode restaurant in beginning and occurs against their ideal plan in sudden emerge of kids and one of them, of course, drops a book. A leading terrorist makes attempt, but nobody takes her screams to attention (it would more credible if it would happen in New York.) and explosion takes more body counts. What can expect when hitman played by Neeson hears from his last contract job advice on do something good what, certainly, will happen. A protagonist puts a box with products, which for accidental push into creek by a girl who couldn’t handle with fish.

No any depth. Action isn’t real. Once it became performance of local village theater, which doesn’t contain professional actors. Liam Neeson never wishes to be believable that he is a contract killer. His hero is an easygoing personality, a friendly neighbor who likes to give a candy to a little boy or a girl. I don’t see personality. At least, Neeson doesn’t relaxes on that his experience plays. Nevertheless, he is without efforts for role. A flick has nice work of cameraman and composer does Irish sound on well done.

I clicked to the end and it was usual. This movie only encourages me to speak in Irish accent, because it’s sound is hilarious.
