I moved to theater on John Wick because it was written by Derek Kolstad who impressed in direct-to-DVD films One in the Chamber and The Package by firm dialogs and mesmerizing elaboration even secondary characters in his scripts. A smashing plot describing only added to anticipation.

Lionsgate’s released documentary on current four movies in series is a fantastically narrated story. It excites from beginning when you hear and watch on background of the filmmakers and an appearance of 87Eleven with which you get a great opportunity to see it’s life. Almost half of movie devoted to production of a first flick and looking on that is fascinating. You see documented struggles for realization of this independent project. Involvement there of watching and discussing these footages Keanu Reeves and Chad Stahelski brings more brilliance to narration. A disclosure of making of John Wick 1 reveals it’s legendary. You see that by allowance of artistry and that Lionsgate was a grandiose in this not so far past by deciding to release such project.

The documentary doesn’t slow down in observing of following parts of John Wick but there can catch how their quality falls by limited devotion and mainly talking on crazy action ideas. A presented studio’s man speaks in honest way in which he doesn’t hesitate on commercial essence of John Wick movies (but the world works in that way now, unfortunately). However, Wick Is Pain isn’t decent by not telling how Lionsgate dumped Derek Kolstad to whom didn’t even call when a production of John Wick 4 was launched. Other thing, which didn’t make clear, is no proper explanation of how a saving financing on a first film was received though it hasn’t anything unusual.

Nevertheless, Wick is Pain has many surprises and, of course, it tells how cinema works. That was enticing. And a curiosity even was when came to the last two chapters.
